Ok guys lets see who is bringing what to sez 7. I will start the post off with what I am bringing. Give a brief discription of what you have as well as favorite mods and what you are hoping for in the 1/4. Plus if you want to heh.. call anyone out to set up a race.. Friendly of course..
-Datsun 280Z with 280zx turbo motor.
-Favorite mods, scottie GNZ Downpipe, NPR intercooler, wheels.
-I am hoping for high 12s at this meet.. we shall see..

Take the weekend off, make the drive and attend it yourself Cyind. Dr. Hunt came from Socorro, NM last time. Besides running in the 9's, he won the "longest distance travelled" award.
We're expecting some FAST cars this time, at least 2 that we know of so far, will run in the 8's
State lines don't have toll booths...

High Compression, HA, unless your 11.5 or better dont ever think about calling anything HIGH!!!
12-1 is more like it!
And bubbles stop making excuses, I cant STAND when people do that, like oh I had this tire problem, or this sputter problem, what you ran is what you ran, no excuses, and numbers mean nothing unless its the same day, same place etc. LIke I run at 1500 feel elevation, you run at what 500, thats 3 tenths of a second quicker. You run HIGH 13's and untill otherwise, thats what you run.

and 1fastZ, if you knew how much my n42 head was shaved---and my slight overbore, and flatops, its probbaly around 11:1 compression
excuses? i just told it how it was! my car wasnt tuned at all blowing black smoke down the track! i had street 205 tires on the car!!!!
all im saying is this time around, Gabe and i are going to line up again, and i might be right at his side this time down the track :-) hehehe. that would be fun.
also if you hit 12.8 @105 and i hit 13.9 @103
hmmm..im only two mph slower than you, but more than a second slower too....so i think i have pleanty of room to run a low 13 pass this september-----
with an L28 ...not L31
which would mean my standard bore is only a half second slower than you all out ITB stroker----hmmmmm...i think its my headwork ;-)

I respect you and the work you do , but these coments have nothing to do with the topic at hand. Now if you want to come to sez and race.. tell us what your bringing and bring it. I am sure we can find someone to line you up against..

the difference is, Gabe is here to help everyone out---gabe is the only reason i ran in the 13's...and last year in the low 15's---both years he's given me advice and helped me...Warren was always telling my to let tire pressure out, but i never did it, then Gabe convinced me when he and I were about to go at it. And what happened? i bogged the car off the line and he whooped me, then the next race i got my 13 baby! yeah!
and gabe, i still want your wheels.

Advice would be to take 300 bux out of your already 20 grand spending and buy a set of slicks and then you would have the best setup you can get reasonably. Then no more wheel spin, plain and simple.

You go to a BMW, Viper, Vette site or other more expensive of type cars and you wont find the crap talk and young age trash postings and replies like you do on here.
