funny DSL story---

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

so this guys comes to fix our DSL, and im out in the garage tuning the Z----
he walks in , sees the car, says hi, and goes inside...
later i walk in and he and my dad are talking---turns out the guy is country, and has a 8 second mustang----riiiigggghhhtt.
so anyways, we end up talking about how mine runs a mid 13 1/4 mile, and he says "thats not bad for that car"
right, it isnt...
so then we go outside, and i crank it up, he says "man, you can really tell somethings under that hood"
then the kicker:
"only problem is, you cant fit two more cylinders on it"
v8 people. what a waste.

Sure you could add two more cylinders if you wanted to! Shoould have asked him if you could test fit his drive train over the weekend just to see if you could get in the 7's with less weight...

cyind,---haha funny.
its just wierd--- a good friend of mine has a 77 280 that his parents bought from the dealer back in 77...we've been building it up a bit, but still---
his other car is a mustang GT, and hes all about "theres no replacement for displacement"
i mean, hell, i like v8's too---i drove a 2nd gen rx7 with a 402 in it i think, and HOLY CRAP.
but still---the Z is a passion ;-)

If there's anything I hate it's rednecks in general, and rednecks with corvettes or mustangs. Their cars always are "running 7s, 8s, 9s, 10s, blah blah blah" Most of us don't own Zs to drag, we like roads that have curves, turns, corners, etc... If we wanted to go in a straight line we'd take our steering wheels off.
1972 240z w/L28, tokico shocks and springs, and a 5 speed waiting. Also running high performance ultra mega blinker fluid, that's at least an extra 50hp to the wheels.
1987 Toyota Supra Turbo 5-speed. Belongs to me until my friend get's back from Iraq.

Who told you can't turn in a V8 Z? Don't go there...
Andrew, that is one reason to own one of each! It just more fun!
