I can find out, but it's from Larry's Old Volks Home, the current class record holder, so it was a serious attempt. My venturing to guess from his past times/speeds was over 130mph...

My 87 RX7 Turbo II with a petit built engine running 28 lbs had no problems hitting 160 mph and it actually did have some left to go!
Those cars have like one of the lowest CD rates out there, like .29. They are great at speed.
