Just finished removing intake and header. Thanks to all with previous post that helped me along the way. No broken bolts or anything else, only pain was the egr pipe, thought I was going to have to cut it. Now that the easy part is over is time for the spending money replacing parts. Thanks again and I'm sure I'll need more help when putting it all back together comes. Time to browse classifieds. Any suggestions while I have everything off greatly appreciated.

I'm confused. You asked for suggestions while everything was off, but I don't know why you removed the intake and header in the first place, so I can't make a suggestion. Get exhaust manifold studs from pallnet is the only thing I can come up with. Great quality and extremely easy to install.

This was as much a thank you for past post and for this forum. The reason I removed the I & H was the gaskets were shot on both of them. With everything off now, I can see a little carbon build up on valves, inside header is rusting out, also a lot of carbon buildup inside hose leading from exhaust to block - I believe that's were it was. I would like to replace entire exhaust now that I see all the rust, including header, replace or rebuild fuel injectors and possibly use pallnet fuel rail. This is were any other suggestion or comments are greatly appreciated. Sorry for any past or previous ignorance, I am not a mechanic and don't claim to be one but do enjoy working on cars.
I'm not looking to build a hot rod or show car winner, just a nice restore for weekend driving and enjoyment and a learning experience.

Rust is going to happen, especially in the exhaust system. That said, if you think it's bad enough to warrant replacement you can go to either MSA or AZCar to get a decent header. The rest is up to you. For a weekend toy I wouldn't bother with the Jet Coating. Check your injectors before replacing or rebuilding them. A lot of time the injectors don't need replacement or rebuilding, just the old rubber hose replaced. Get a good gasket from Nissan. I've heard a lot of complaints about the aftermarket ones from the autoparts stores. I have one on my car without and problem yet, but that's just me.

I notice it's not a header but the manifold. The rust in there is nothing to worry about. It will take a really long time to get thru the manifold.
