I have seen that video 5 times over the last year or so and I can never figure out how that happened. IT doesn't look like he was going fast enough to get over the berm and you can see his tail lights on.
So he get sideways a little while doing a 'burnout' and then hits the brakes.
It is obvious that he has ABS since the card doesnt slide. But he won't steer away from the curb? I think he closed his eyes and pushed the brakes as hard as possible. When he hit the grass the ABS took away all braking on the front and there was just enough momentum to get him over.
PS I imagine he lost his license for a while.

When I first saw that video (years ago), I remember reading that he was trying to do a 180, but apparently he wasn't aware of the concept of ABS. It makes sense to me when I watch it. Either way: IDIOT!

I can't believe he didn't get beat down. That's what I was watching for the first time I saw this video a couple years ago.
I hate that, that fool has a turbo mr2, great car I was much more bothered by the mr2 getting damaged than the jetta or type R.
