I pull into a gas station to buy gas.theres a light blue crown vic sitting near the front of the store. there are 2 young men with beards and bandanas sitting in the car...
guy: hey dude.can you help me out?
(I walk over to the car and the guy in the passenger seat has a handful of money...at least $100 in one dollar bills )
B: what do you need?
guy: can you buy us some beer?
B: nope,cant do it
guy: you cant do it?
B: not at all(I am walking away)
(I go inside the gas station and pay for my gas and as I walk back outside,I hear them calling another guy to the car.theyre working out a deal as I leave the parkinglot.)
this thing had the smell of a sting.
-both guys looked to be mid-twenties(one black,one white)
-a crown vic with FOMOCO hubcaps and dual exhaust
-sitting almost directly in front of the convenience store and in view of the cashier
If all were equal, none would be strong.

yes.there are a bunch of strange laws regarding the selling of beer/liquor.you have to be 18 to sell beer,there are special licenses required for an establishment to sell alcoholic beverages the cashier in the convenience store has to ID them in order to legally sell them beer.if caught selling beer without IDing,the fines are heavy..
I can only imagine what the fines are if I would have gotten caught in that sting operation.
If all were equal, none would be strong.

I just love how safe we are now that the law requires carding everyone including me with an oldest son who's 28 & my neighbor who is in his 70s. That law was really necessary as it eliminates under age drinking and driving. It helps promote individual responsibility & educates younger people about acceptable safe ways to drink. It's also a great reason to always carry an ID even when none is otherwise required. The Gov should institute a voluntary national ID & could use it to help with our illegal alien, under age drinking, rampant skate boarding problems. It would also help fight the terrorists. What a deal.

One time at my job (I work at a tavern) we had this young guy come in and ask for a bottle of miller light. The bartender of course sold it to him and he immediately walked out with it; 30 seconds later the place was full of cops and the owner's wife was in tears. The guy was 20 and they didn't bother to card him. Seems like they would make sure that they card people since its at least a 500 dollar fine around these parts. Needless to say, the bartender had to pick up the fee.
