? for you guys who have gone around the dispute circle, and a Show story.

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I recently bought an item on eBay and it ended up being fake. None of the information or pictures led me to believe that this was the case. Thankfully I payed with paypal. How does this stuff work? Do I get my money back or do I lose out on the money?
To keep this car related, I went to my first car show of the year in my town and saw a beautiful maroonish reddish 260Z with an '81 5 speed, crack free dash, and dual webers. Turns out the guy takes a body work and paint class with one of my friends, so we got to talking and he's going to let me have a go at some of his parts cars. Nice guy, huh?

Just call your credit card co & tell them you want to dispute the charges. All you will need to say is merchandise not as represented and returned to merchant. Return the merchandise so you're not lieing & the guy can't claim you ripped him.
Anyone can drive a new car.

Make sure you read all the rules before you do anything, so you are well informed. It may make a difference how you send it back, such as FedEx or USPS. The thing that sucks about Ebay is if you've been ripped off, the jerk that swindled you can leave negative feedback, then it looks like your not always honest and the only people who will know you are honest are the ones that take the time to sift through all your feedbacks. Good luck.

It's been my experience that neither Paypal or eBay will give you much help, and when they might be helping their communication is so poor that you just are never sure what is happening.
Your best option is to go thru your credit card company. The fact is that the agreement between you and Paypal favors Paypal, while the agreement between Mastercard/Visa and Paypal favors Mastercard/Visa. Put them to work for you!

Yeah, it was Gordon. He told me that he bought one of his parts cars specifically because it had a crack free dash so I assumed that it was a crack free dash in his car. But yeah, really clean car.
