replacing old exhaust hangars

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Yeah, mine were bad.
The rear one snapped on me, The front of the muffler was just slipped on. When it fell, the rear of the F.M. hit the ground first sending it into the back of the car ripping some bondo and my paint off. Sucks cause its a new paintjob but it's okay since i don't like the color so i'm repainting it the 1st of August.
Here's some recent shots of my 2+2. Everybody likes to see pictures in posts :)
I need a damn shift boot. lol
I'm still undecided on the color i want to repaint it. What color do you guys think look best on Z's?

I think that color would look good if it was shiny, it may just be the pictures but it looks kinda flat and not slick.
I really don't mean that to be bad. I can send you a pic of my 78 in viper blue with a decent amount of purple pearl mixed in. I can't post it but I can email it to you, you can post it if you'd like to get more peoples opinions.
Looks like you have a nice 2+2 there.

Your Z looks nice to me. Not sure if I like it with the rear bumper off but with the front one off it looks good. Your shop is much cleaner than mine and you have some nice pics on the walls....Ha Ha... Is that light next to the Z on the floor portable? I was thinking of getting a light like that to move next to where I'm working to see the side of whatever I'm fixing.
Best of luck...

It does look kinda dull in the pics for some reason. Cardomain messing with pixels? Its shiney but i still haven't wetsanded it yet. Once it was painted i didn't like the color. I like the color during the day since its a nice bright blue but once the sun goes down it looks like a deep purple. I didn't want to waste 150 bucks it cost for the compounds on it. I think i may be going with a cherry red or a baby blue.

Say no to baby blue...Red, silver, or deep blue would look awesome.

I was actually planning on silver but don't you think it would blend in traffic? I don't want to be a ricer but i would like a good color to stand out.

Silver will blend with your surroundings, however you drive a pretty unique car. If you want that car to be seen from miles away; paint it red.
IMHO that car would look best in a deep blue (the kind of blue that looks black at night)

How does it being a 2+2 make any differance as to color?
I think a lot of colors would look good.
Now, something like lime green or pink wouldn't look good; but do they on any car?

you can always paint it green like mine! if you click on my profile you can see a pic of the green. Its a little bit light than it shows there and a little darker than the valve cover.

The 280 came in a maroon. Red...lots of people with old cars paint them red. Nothing new or even classy there.
Anyone can drive a new car.

I hear that, we NA guys get it too.
"Why don't you just sell that NA and get a TT?"
The short answer: Economics
TT's cost twice as much around these parts.

Thanks ice. Sorry to vent like that but does that mean if you ran into another different looking z in your town, you wouldn't talk to the owner? I know of one early year z in my town and it's another 2+2. These types of cars are all rare. I'd say celebrate all the ones that are still on the road after 30+ years!
