A&Q about 350Z
Q:
It is very similar to a 1600 roadster. In fact it is almost an exact replica of a SPL211 roadster. except the tail lights were like the roadster almost everyone remembers, the 1600. It looked like it said sprinte... or spirite... or something. It was dark and both the cars were pretty well disassmbled. I almost thought it was a spitfire triumph but it wasn't. The rear ends of the car was all wrong. Any ideas what they are? I can't find them anywhere on the net.

It's an Austin Healey Sprite. The late 50's "bug-eye" model was a British sports car icon. The 60's model has conventional headlights. They were very popular with racers because it was an affordable car and cheap to modify for racing.
The Datsun Roadsters look like British sports cars because Datsun was copying the Brits. A modern Japanese interpretation of a British sports car is the Mazda Roadster. The Brits themselves have moved on to better things like the Lotus Elise, Noble M400, Ariel Atom . . . and these are only cars they get credit for!
