NZR: new company car...

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I'm getting a new Silverado extended cab as a company sales vehicle so I am going to sell my 2005. I'm thinking about picking up a 2002 Maxima SE V6, any thoughts on that car, I've never driven one.

What's your 2005? A Silverado as well?
Well, the Maxima's a Nissan, right? So you can't really go wrong, can you. :-)

I will say if you haven't driven one before, you will like it. :o)
If it's a 5spd car, you will grin the whole time.

ive got a 2001 maxima and i love it. everybody who rides in it is impressed with 1. how fast it is
2. how nice it rides
3. how much more leg room it has than their cars.
when i bought it it was 3yrs old,it was sitting on a local lot between a 2001 volvo 4 dr. and a 2002 bmw 4 dr. i test drove all three plus a 2000 lexus . the maxima was clearly the faster, more powerful car. it had much more leg room (front and back) and a smooyher ride than all of these car. after 2 yrs. i know i made the right choice. i have talked to probably 25 maxima owners from mid 90s to brand new and every one of them loves their maxima. for the price its a great car!

The '00-'03 Maxima is a great car, I had an '01. The only gripes: trunk room is less than desirable for the class of car, rear headroom for taller folks is a little tight, tune-up items such as spark plugs & O2 sensors are very tight to access. For that matter the whole engine bay is tight. Try and find a FEDERAL emissions car and not a CALIFORNIA emissions car, they are much simpler as far as O2/emissions sensors and wiring goes!

My maxima is great even though I'm having to rebuild the motor. For the same reason ZXToy states, the car is great. Mines even older though its a 93 SE 5spd and it hangs close to my mustang gt.

Thanks guys, sounds like what I'm looking for. Now my wifes question, does a stroller fit in the trunk?

Does in mine, I'm just finding this out as we now have a 3 week old girl!
We have a pretty fancy stroller that has the car seat system. It easily fits in the back of my 93. Also the car seat fits in the back without having to move the front seat forward to clear - something my mom's camary can't do.

i also forgot to mention that a month ago my wife hit a deer on the highway at 65 mph. the only damage was a dent in the hood , a broken windshield and a very tint bend in the rad support. the entire damage was 1400.00. that included new pin strips on the fender as they buffed the fenders when the new hood was painted. the car was totally driveable- just hard to see thru windshield. nobody was hurt. it ran straight when she layed on the brakes. so i guess what im saying is that they are a really sturdy car. most vehicles around here that hit deer are totaled!!
