A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Just wanted to share this moment with you guys.. It's not my Z, but my other car. 88 JDM Mitsu VR4. Did America ever receive this car? Had Evo 3 turbo +manifold, Tanabe suspension, Whiteline racing swaybars. Just spent a fortune rebuilding the gearbox and uprated driveshaft yokes and now this. Insurance has written it off, goodbye my VR4. Had alot of good times!

Really sorry to hear that man, keep your head up though... I totalled my first ever car which happend to be my Z31 NA that I had dropped $10k+ into so I feel your pain.
To save it from a total loss, try and find another one and transfer everything across? Will that be possible?

Insurance has decided to write it off, and I hadn't listed all my goodies with my insurance co either. I imported the car for $7000AUD complied, spent another $4000 getting it up to spec and the car was insured for $10,000 so I lose 1k. Not too bad. I'm just really missing the car, it hauled ass!
As you can see from the picture it was raining and the roads were slick. In the dry, the car would stick like glue. Could floor it around a bend and it'd just claw on for life! In the wet however, even though the car is AWD, the car was alot more skatey--nothing unpredictable usually--those swaybars tightened things up so much.. I just came around a corner on the highway and I think it was a combination of 1" rear swaybar, 50% tread on rear tyres and maybe a oil patch or something. I was travelling at the speed limit, 60km/hr and the tail swung out unexpectedly (was on way to work) at a huge angle on a corner. There was heaps of traffic so I just did my best to avoid causing damage to anyone else. Car ended sliding sidewayz down the road and mounted the kerb and into a sandstone wall.
Impact wrecked my nice adjustable KYB AGX shock!
I've since bought a 1997 Toyota RAV4. That oughta keep me out of trouble ;)

Wall looks great however

My bud with a 3.2 stroker endoed three times at Las Vegas, and his quote was:
"I had the perfect line, and it just went away."
Sorry to hear about the shunt, looked like a nice car (for a Mitsu) we didn't get that spec model here in the USA.
As with the other shunt and resultant endo, consider driver input into that equation, and stop blaming the equipment. To this day my bud refuses to admit he took his hands off the steering wheel to cover his head when it started going over---yet the steering wheel remained unbent, and his pinky finger was crushed/broken. Driver error has a far higher incidence of culpability in these types of shunts than anyone ever wants to admit.

as usual,Tony is dead on. his intentions were not to flame or bash you but in the long run help you( and other drivers on the road).

I owned a 1991 Dodge 2000GTX which was an AWD that looked very similar. It was a rebadged Mitsubishi Gallant.

yeah we got that car over here it was called the galant vr-4 and then there was the galant gsx but it was non turbo. Really neat cars and two guys around here are deep into the twelves with mostly stock looking galants. I believe they have the same short comings as the eclipses though, so they can be serious money pits if not properly built. peace.
Hey, I got a Z car, Its got a big TURBO, wanna Race?

it happens, good job not taking out anybody else.
1972 240z w/L28, tokico shocks and springs, and a 5 speed waiting. Also running high performance ultra mega blinker fluid, that's at least an extra 50hp to the wheels.
1987 Toyota Supra Turbo 5-speed. Belongs to me until my friend get's back from Iraq.
