NZR but it was still fun...
my cousin just dropped me off at my car and i WAS going to head home but a maroon boxster went by me. Now either direction he would have went would mean CORNERS :)
So i followed him and it just so happens he chose the the better of the two roads. Anyway at first he cruised it decent then he noticed i wanted to play so he sped up and up. Now i cant beat this car for speed or handling..but i can keep up decently enough. I actually had my rear end slide out a little. I came into a corner to fast and i got on the brakes a little too hard (yeah i know...stupid to do) well my front nose ived and the back end lifted and went out to the right..AWESOME...
From their he kept it around 60-65 w/ me hangin really well with him.. oh and these corners are only posted 45 mph...
I hung SOO well that when he turned he actually gave me a wave, which i thought was awesome. Just let me know he acknowledged the fact that i was runnin with him.
and i in NOO way believe i could beat him if he tried really hard.

It's always a good feeling when whoever you're playing with, win or lose, acknowledges that it was for some old fashined friendly fun. That's why I don't do straight line races because usually the drivers are stupid, but it seems that the mountain road drivers are more mature and realize that it's all for fun.
1972 240z w/L28, tokico shocks and springs, and a 5 speed waiting. Also running high performance ultra mega blinker fluid, that's at least an extra 50hp to the wheels.
1987 Toyota Supra Turbo 5-speed. Belongs to me until my friend get's back from Iraq.

thats what mountain roads are there for..the way i feel it should be is this:
Just have a spirited drive...dont try to outrun the person on the straights..cuz what fun is that? and just play hard in the corners..
heres one:
I was in my wifes cavalier 2001 gold/brown color.. running some nankang performance tires on the front.
I get behind a retro styled new mustang GT just leaving town..thought maybe he would like to play (hes revved on my dad in his wrx) and sure enough he did..first corner out of town is labeled 35 (dont know why) and he hits it about 58, im RIGHT ON HIS ASS (well, not dangerously close) and he cant shake me in the corner.
But as soon as he can put power down without losing it he guns it..(corner is a tight right hander that is uphill.) of course i cant keep up...then on the straight he just HAULS ASS away.. Dont even get to play on the rest of the road with him.. I dont like those drivers....
they arent there to have fun..its just to show you that there car is faster...bunch of crap...i think he was just scared...cavvy power
oh and the cavalier has a modified S2000 intake..yes i said it..S2000 baby
Good times.

Thats why I drive north of the city I live in. Nice curvy country back roads.....just me, the Z & the thrill of the road. Sometimes I'll get up on the weekend & just pick a direction with a general pin point of where I want to end up & no time limit of when to get there......just drifting through the country side, hitting little towns & exploring.
This whole world smells bad, I'd buy another if I had
back what I paid for another mother@#$%@# in a motorcade

Speaking of Cavaliers, I used to live in Woodstock Georgia and right north
of town leaving Main Street there's a down slope and curve where a girl
was explaining how she downshifted when approaching it, but she didn't
give it a thought it had been raining.....short end of it, she lost it across the neighbors yard and mine and luckily went between two trees without
touching either.....pretty lucky, but just a reminder I guess about curves.
(As a matter of fact someone showed a pic of a car, the car may have been from Canton...but Haygood Contracting bldg was in the background; struck a nerve or something...remembered them well.....)
