cops all over around here are profiling and pulling over "ricers" and they said its directly related to f&f3 coming out. if they even see a big exhaust can, stickers or a lowered import they pull it over and check under, over, beside etc and will tow it if anything is not legal on it. they even check to make sure middle of the headlight is a min of 22.5" high, so even lowered cars are getting nailed as well. $2300 fine for tampered engine components without a c.a.r.b exemption stickers.
more people than ever are gonna run from the cops now if they get lit up.

No Paul Walker. No problem. Not only are 240sx's going to be picked up by every little yuppy that thinks he knows whats going on, but the 350z is going to get a crowd that it doesn't need. Kids that see the movie are going to go home and spend the next 3 weeks asking their parents to buy them a 350z so they can drift. And to them drifting will be pulling the E brake around a corner and kicking out the ass end for a solid 2 seconds. It sucks. If we think Honda kids are bad now, just wait until they discover how much Nissan/Datsun rocks. I hope it doesn't get too bad.

well i seen the movie today i think it was a good movie... other tan that... i cant really say many people are going to buy RWD cars because in the last 2 years or more many people have already started buying RWD cars just so they can start drifting... or at least trying to... here in CA especially in the bay area.. many people are trying to drift and are buying 240SXs like no tomorrow... and then throwing on the JDM front end... they look nice, but not as nice now that everyone and their momma has it.... other than that.. good movie.. with a hot actress! i think i'm in love.. hahaha....oh yeah one more thing... a mustang with an RB25 motor.... i'm not really feeling that whole swap.... it was nice but it was weird hearing a japanese sounding motor from an american car....

funny thing i saw in hot rod mag. was the mustang really had a ford 429 in it to get it to really drift. the skyline rb would throw the weight ratio to far to the rear to have a physical effictive "drift".
on the ranting and raving side (bad spelling alart).
I hate how the adds say drifting is new when you watch any 60-70's movie with car chases or alot of steve maquen movies their sideways through almost every turn in those boats.

I went to go see the movie last night too. I only went to see it for the cars and action. I came out of the theater kind of amazed. It didn't suck like the first two with the lousy scripts and bad plots. It was actually pretty good. Yes, I don't think any of the actors in it will be up for any Oscars, but at least they were more believable than those in the other two films. I will give this film a thumbs up.

I'm about to go see it in an hour or so, and I'm not holding my breath. I really hope the 240sx doesn't gain the same reputation as the civic, because then we'd be forced (as decent Nissan/Datsun drivers) to put the owners in their places and show them what a Nissan is really meant to do. I know my Datsun wasn't built to beat mitsubishi, hondas, or toyotas. It's was built to hunt for Porsches. God help the 240sx.

So I just got back from going to see the movie, bought my ticket walked into the appropriate theater, see the cleaning crew working through the rows. So I think to myself "why are they in here when I'm supposed to be watching a movie?" Turns out that I got there at 4:15 for the 4:20 showing, and the movie actually didn't start until 5. This angered me. So I wound up accidentally taking my girlfriend to see CARS. That was an entertaining flick, and I got a few points out of it from my girlfriend. But didn't get to see what I had intended to.

I liked the movie a lot. Good movie. The ae86 is shown just for a bit in the parking garage near the end of the movie. Makes me wish I had a 240sx to throw a small turbocharger on. Someone near Dallas/Austin must have put together weekend drift sessions. There are lots of autocross. I'm a fan of junkyard tires for like $10 a piece :D

google search for Tsuchiya or drift king. I can't pronounce or spell his first name. He's a real racer who is now "retired" and is a judge for drift events. He put out a dvd called "Drift Bible" and if you're interested in drifting in the slightest then that is money well spent because he does a full walk through on many different techniques.

I was watching this thing on tv more like a documentary than a thing haha it was about whats hot in japan now and modifying cars is dead it was hot 20 yrs ago drifting was hot 10 years ago so what do they do?? they gather in parking lots with wierd ass van/cars with tons of sound power and they dance sure you'll see some hot rwd cars here and there but its not a "cool" thing, this one guy had a scion with 8 18 inch subwoofers a lazer show/smoke show (and not tires :P ) /with a turn table in one of his "pimped out" rides and there was people dancing!! sort of what the F&F was showing in the movie hot girls and hot cars in a gathering of SOund power
