The Z life is good...........

Yesterday our Tn Smoky Mtn Z Car Club had a organized fun run around the Cumberland Plateau. I was given the honor of organizing and leading the day's events.
The weather was perfect and the planned course worked out to provide fun, challenge and relaxation.
Our participants ranged in age from 19 to 76. We had 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th generation cars represented. We even had a neat little 68 roadster join the fun.
We covered about 200 miles round trip and had many stops along the way at the state's oldest winery, the historical York Grist Mill/Park, a Minnonite Old fashioned General Store, etc......
Our day ended at our home with pulled BBQ, sides, fresh peach cobbler and cold beverages.
My personal highlights:
1. Seeing 10 Z cars lined up and cruisin in my rear view mirror all day............. guys, it just doesn't get any better in my book..................
2. Having a yard full of Z cars at my home! A Proud moment!
3. A day of fun, food and fellowship with proud Z car enthusiasts.
One of our members took pics of the day's events. I will post a few as soon as I get copies.
We even found a couple of Z's for sale along the route, a 74 260 and an 86 300 coupe.
For all you folks out there restoring or owning a Z car, if you ever get the chance to hit the road with a club or group, please take advantage. These cars sure look cool lined up and cruisin down the old 2 lane back road highways.
Yesterday is a "Z" day that will be cherished in my memory for a long, long time. Thanks to everyone who participated and contributed.
The Z life is a GOOD one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hope to get them posted on the club website by mid week. I will put a link here for everyone to view. I had a couple of folks helping me with the picture assignment. My son was going to be my photographer for the day and he got called into work at the last minute.
No one from Middle Tn showed up, hopefully next time we can get both clubs together for a combined event. I know that your prez and my prez are having conversations, so lets keep pushing. Maybe we can do something this fall when the colors are changing. We could call it the "Meet in the Middle (Tn)" run........hehehehe
Take care.
