Carolina Z Jam thanx

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Just wanted to give a big THANKS to the folks who put together the 2006 Carolina Z Jam, held in conjunction with the Mathews Car Show. While there was only two 1st generation Zs and one second gen Z, there were a good number of 3rd, 4th gen Zs, and nearly a dozen 5th gen 350Zs entered in the show. I brought my father's '69 2000 roadster and Roger Dent brought his roadster, too. A couple of other guys brought 1st gen and other Zs that weren't entered, but looked good in the parking lot.
In addition, there were some 60s and 70s muscle cars, corvettes, a sweet T-bird convertible, a NASCAR racer, a bunch of new BMWs from Hendrick's dealership (and it was one of his race cars), and some other odd bits, such as a couple of Ford Anglias, a Citroen 2CV, and a couple of beetles.
My dad's 2000 got 3rd in the "open class" (out of 3, ha ha) and "Best Potential" with a working NOS controller wired to the trophy. (Anyone want to make me an offer?)
What a great time. Anyone thinking about going next year, I can recommend it. Though bring your fire ant repellent if you want to sit in a chair in the grass!
Cheers,
Alex

Alex,
Nice meeting you there and glad you made the trip. Good showing of Z cars from all eras and I think the Z cars had the most cars of any brand on display. Thanks again to the Carolina Z club for all their work, it was a great time.

Alex,
It was nice talking with you at the show, keep going on that Roadster!
I spent most of the day trying to recruit those first gen owners into the Carolina Z Club.

An amateur trying to restore the Z. I should have taken the blue pill!
