the other day i blew a "rebuilt" halfshaft (by atlanta driveline) on the way to work...sucked, i was late but my dad towed the car home. so went to eddies he gave me one, slapped that sucker in, and drove off!
then maybe 3 miles later....tink tink tink tonk BAM BAM BAM Bpm
the other side blew!
both spicer ujoints broke in the exact same place, my dad thinks its a bad batch of ujoints, cause they both went nearly the same time...
took them back to Atl. Driveline, and a year later they are fixing them for free....
so now, ive got a 4-speed tranny from eddies IT car, a fairly good 3.54 diffy that doesnt clunk or make a lot of noise, and two halfshafts, and i can actually launch the car (or try to on 185 series tires) and shift quickly!
im so tempted just to by a set of swastika wheels to finish the car, but i was told Panasports main office is located by Road Atlanta, and i might make a trip up there to see if i can get a set of them for less than $1200 from MSA

ive got through 3 differentials, excluding the one that is in the car now...
the one in the car now clunks a little bit when you snap on and off the throttle, and when shifting hard...
i sware, its impossible to find a good condition rear end in these cars!!!
im tempted to just buy steves280!!!

Donate them, lol. I'm nice but not quite that nice! Actually if you want them make an offer to my email address above. One of them has some curb rash that I can have fixed.
You just never know what I might take for them.
What gear rear end are you looking for, I can get parts pretty easy and have some in stock. All my parts are good or they go in the trash.
