A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Heres before and after pics of a guy who used a paint roller to apply rustoleum. Pretty cool, I think.
Here's the original thread about rustoleum on cars:

Its all in the color sanding and buffing afterwards.

It will still lose its shine eventually.

Not if you use an automotive grade clear over it. Still, I would think it would fade fast as it's not meant to take the beating that a good auto paint is.

Sure it looks OK (in a picture in a dark garage from 10').
I'm not so sure that it won't look like crap close up in the sunlight.
I still have no idea why the easy step (paint) is cheated on after all the work that goes into preping a car before paint. Come on, a few quarts of automotive finish are not that expensive.
A:
except for the color changing paint. I heard that stuff is like $600 a quart, or some crazy number like that.

What's the point?
Just paint it right...it's a car, not a house.

looks good enough for me! of course my car is currently 2 tone (blue hood & fenders, gray doors & hatch!) from pieced together body parts! So if it was all the same color, I would be ever so happy.

I wouldn't do that either. Acrylic paint doesn't stick to enamel very well, so you would have a lot more work when you want to do it right.

No doubt. All gotta come off or at the least be thoroughly block sanded and sealed before proper job. Whatever. Some people are just dumb cheap.
