500 miles are on the new head

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

Has been re-torqued, and the boost turned up to 12psi. I only found one head bolt that actually turned a little on the re-torque. So... about another 100 miles just to make sure I run into no problems and it';; be back at 17 to 18psi.
But 12 feels really good, definatly notice a difference now with a clean head and the 60mm throttle body.

did you losen them and then retorque them? thats how you are suppose to do it. Your not suppose to just retorque them without loosening them first.

Hmmm, I have heard both stories... But my neighbor used to build motors and he says that to just check them to make sure they are still at spec and to not loosen them.

well according to the Nissan OHC Rebuild book thats what it says. IF you used a felpro headgasket then you should still be okay. They claim you dont need to retorque the headgasket.

Felpro's are
I dont see why I would loosen it to re torue it.. Its like your breaking that seal that has started, I see no logic in that.
