I just use the free version, works well enough for me to be honest and get's regular updates! Has fixed my computer better than some of the larger branded ones you pay for!

just use spybot and ad-aware for spyware.......

I keep getting pop-ups from AVG free saying that its discontinued?!
Says it runs out in Jan next year!

Ah right. With a little research i have found this:
It seems version 7.1 is going out and 7.5 free is now availible for download...
Will give it a go now!

I had a pop up with mine the other day explaining that i needed to upgrade to 7.5 Free as 7.1 was being phased out in january 07.... i upgraded with no problems and its definately the free one....
