A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hi, just wondering which were the best shocks to go for.
The Avo's ive been offered are £300 for a low mileage set and they are adjustable.
The KW's are non adjustable, low mileage and are only rears costing £90. Would it be possible to buy front coil overs only or would i have to get fixed seat shocks? Also does it matter if they are damping adjustable or is that only an issue if you are a serious racer.
Im most worried about handling and my car is stripped out. Its my daily driver but its so uncomfortable already that i really dont care. Im planning to do trackdays for fun and as many local hillclimbs as i can afford next year...
Thanks, Will

KW's are better quality, but i've run avo coilovers for 2-3yrs now with no issues and the adjustablity is a bonus for track and road use.
I'd say buy the avo's, but just check that they are not leaking, all the adjusters work and the spring platform is not seized.

Thanks alot. Is this a common problem with Avo's?
Also, can i buy front coilovers on their own and if so, where from?
Thanks, Will
A:
To be honest they're fairly common issues for all coilovers, particularly the latter two.

my avos are dead and the set on my mk2 were also not very good . save your £300 and get some better ones with a bit more cash . my last set were re-sealed at £75 each plus postage . worked out about £90 a corner .

Hmmm, they seem pretty variable, what would you reccommend me to get?
I bought the KW's for thw rear and they look very good, but i guess you never know til you fit them.
Do you know anywhere I can get the fronts only from?
Will

At a guess, you would need to go direct to KW for them, every place i have seen only sells full kits.
