no he was jinked as per usual by the ITV commentators
they were chatting about what would happend with points etc, then they mentioned engine failure for him for the race, i turned to the GF and said thats schumacher out of the race for sure,
and he was
next race is going to be good,
but you know massa is going to have an "accident" with alonso
A:
According to the law of 'What goes around comes around', Schumacher's going home with empty pockets this year
A:
The rule applies.
Very impressive drive through the field yesterday, but in the grander scheme of things, no redemption.
Tally ho.

Indeed ! I reckon that was Hill Snr up above with some divine retribution for running his boy off the road in 94 !
A:
did you colour that in?
A:
I got Damon Hill to do it - he was more than willing

Really enjoyed that race, schuey did amazing imo, will be missed!
A:
What a bunch of haters.
And Senna was a saint?
A:
I thought schuey drove well to pull back thro the field like he did, showed just how much speed is left in the man, wether u like like him or not, respect!!!!!!!!!!!!! racing drivers should be judged on the the tarmac
A:

Adelaide.... Jerez...Monaco....
Judged

Schumacher's going home with empty pockets this year
not that he's exactly short of change!

But on an achievement level, he's underachieved this year by his own standards. He wanted that final championship, more than anything.
A:
I respect Shuey for his full on win and his car abilities.
He dirtied his copy book several times which is sadly his "GREAT BUT......" epitaph in years to come.
Awesome record which I dont expect to see beaten in my lifetime.
Drivers at this level have to win.. and judgements are "at all cost" - Senna and Prost era anyone? No different was it?
A:
Oh records indeed.

It doesn't justify behaving like children - never will.
Strangely I think they both acted like c*cks too, particularly Senna.
At least I'm consistent
A:
"Acting like children"
Watched a round of BTCC recently? Come to think of it, WTCC?
More like bumper cars! Wooooooo! Daddy look at me!
A:
I've heard tales of ?contract clauses? in the BTCC whereby driver spats for the TV cameras are 'encouraged'. Hence regular Plato, Neal, and Reid gobbing off sessions, & "man's an idiot" to-camera routines.
I'm sure Alan Gow knows an awful lot about this...
A:
Lets be honest, mush as i dont like his darker side, he is by far the best driver-give them all the same car/tyres/etc and the rest wouldnt get anywhere near him.
i think it would have been nice for button to surrender 3rd place to him, his contract was safe and it would have been nice for schuey to get a podium and be interviewed on his last race. it wouldnt have harmed button.
A:
He is the best driver, statistically proven. As Alonso basically said, he'd sooner have won a championship with MS around because it adds value to it. But the character is so important in a sport with 'fans'.
Button surrender? I'd have called him an idiot for a start. And told him to lose the silly beard. Again.
A:
I think Kimi's grid interview answer summed up one drivers perspective on things Shuey retirement.
"i was taking a sheeeeet" >>
Brundle>> "obviously you will have a nice light car on the grid"
Funny as ****
Classic..
ROFL
A:
In my personal opinion, give them all an identical car, tyres etc and it would be Raikonnen leading the field, the man is unshakable.
A:
i thinks raikonnen has won it next year already, he's fast aye, but combine that with a ferrari, he's got it already i think.
A:
Schumacher - greatest driver ever - stats speak for themselves + the fact that he developed with 2 teams to be at the top from nowhere - yes do you remeber when ferrari were absolute poop & other than a big salary noone in there right mind would have joined them - if he had done what senna & prost would have done (joined the top team of the day_ he would have won more world titles - especially as for 3 or 4 of the ones he didnt win he only lost in the final race of a season
absolute god like hero & a real racer (especially for ramming people off the road & champion of overtaking in a sport that it rarely ahppens) - hats off - win at all costs attitude - showed a real desire, thirst & hunger despite having hundreds of millions in the bank
the sport is a greyer & duller one without him.. imo
