A&Q about 350Z
Q:

what should i buy ?
A:

I bought a Alpine CDA-9853R recently and am quite happy with it, the glidetouch takes a bit of getting used to.
Should be well within your budget.
A:

the Alpine CDA-9855R CD/MP3 Player - £258.99 looks nice same idea i think but slightly nicer display i can save many cause ive no need for an ipod connection will keep that in mind cheers mate any other suggestions? would love in dash dvd but im assuming for my budget i ant get anything good?
my main needs are mp3 wouldnt mind a player that can read from a dvd aswell just for extra songs but not essential
A:

A:

Alpine look out of place IMO in golfs....
Go for a Becker Grand Prix or something similar, they look like standard Headunits yet they produce the same sound quality as Alpine units.
Its less likely to be stolen, the fascia comes off, it plays mp3's and wma etc, you can plug and ipod into it.
A:

what about the pioneer bluetooth head unit? comes with a mic wired into your car so u have hands free comin out ur speakers..!
A:

I have a Becker Grand Prix. Looks OEM. Really don't like the spaceship looking headunits. Especially silver ones.
A:

any pics of the Becker Grand Prix?
Also, scottgroovez do you still have your g60 syncro? Haven't seen it since nov 2002 at no-rice, iirc you took it off the road soon after due to headgasket failure.

If you have a computer (I am assuming you do, if you're on a forum) and can burn MP3 CDs yourself, there really isn't any need for a DVD MP3 player, hard disk, iPod connection or CD changer. I'd go for Alpine too (in fact I did!) and bought their mid-range MP3 playing unit. (The model number will no doubt be out of date now). As with others, I can thoroughly recommend Alpine.
