Note certain headunits are limited to the size of drive they can read from, think some with the USB port on the front are actually limited to 1GB so only really compatable with USB flash drives.

That clarion unit looks rather lame to me, only 6 hours of playback?? Wow thats likea massive 6 cd's, as it that would take long to get sick of. Might as well get a 6 stacker, at least then you can change them without having to make room on the hard drive.
Personally I just use my Ipod with my Itrip. But I hear they might be illegal over there?? And what exactly is illegal the Ipod in the car "being used" or the Itrip?
In one of my cars I just have a wire(rca type to headphone jack) from the back of my head unit to the headphone jack of my Ipod.
A:

The iTrip is illegal currently altho there was talk of changing legislations soon so it wouldn't be. BAsically because you're transmitting an unlicensed radio broadcast (albeit very low powered) I think it technically counts as a 'pirate' radio station.
Another option could be a normal cd head unit that can play mp3s\wma files etc off a cd. Using wma I've got around 15 albums onto one disc at a good quality, around 20 discs in my glove box so that equates to around 250 hours of playback (5 mins per track and 10 tracks per album) Much better in my book and you can still lob normal cd's in. Throw a multi changer into the mix which is mp3 compatible as well and you'll never have to change cds again (well... till you get bored anyways!)
