Possibly stupid question: Fixings

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I've got some replacement speakers for the dash of my mk2 GTi, but they don't come with the screws. Where the hell would I get hold of four screws? I know of places like screwfix but I don't want a box of 50 of them!
Also, what do you call the plugs that you normally have on the end of speaker wires, and where's the best place to get them?
I think I've lost IQ points just asking the question...

you want the female spade connectors to go onto the speakers, not the realy tiny ones, and depending on what size cable your using would depend on what colour, or do you mean for the pre outs? ... if so they are phono's
as for the screws ... go to a scrappy you can believe how often i go to my local scrappy for those!
if i havent got the right ones for the speaker give me a little more info and im sure il be able to dig the awnser out of my brain

Spade connectors! That's what they're called. I'm going to have to locate a local scrappy I think, and take a long list of stupid little bits and pieces that I'm missing... grommets, securing tabs, blah blah..
Thanks for your help dude!
A:

yeh its funny whenh you come out the scrappy with a bag of little bits, there normaly like wtf have you got there, mine know me now and tend to just let me go through with little bits, its not worth there time trying to figure out what i have got
ohh btw, a speakers have spade connectors on them so you will need the female ones to join onto them, or just soilder strait onto the speaker
A:

Yeah I'll need connectors I think, make it easier if I need to take em out in the future!

VW sell trim screws for pennies, if you can't be bothered looking around the scrappy - although, like MeanHeart said, a scrappy trip every now and then is very useful for these small bits and bobs.
