i believe the new leon is mk5 golf based yea.
think the agile chassis stuff is due to the fact it has independent rear suspension rather than the beam axle used on all previous golf chassis.

If you're on about the pre 2005 Leon then yes its based on the mk4 Golf chassis, couldn't really decide which one you were talking about tbh!
