A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Last question about bloody rims.... I promise.
I'm not very good with this whole "offset" business. How will an offset of 45' fair (4x100)? And what is the difference between a low offset, i.e 20, to say a high offset of 45? I know its to do with scrubbing but thats about it.
Cheers

offset is the distance from the centre of the wheel (when viewed from the front) to the mounting face (the bit that sits against the brake disc. generally you`ll find the bigger the offset # then the further in the wheels sit with relation to the arch.
if you use ,say, a vauzhall rim(49mm offset) it will probably rub against the inner arch under full steering lock because the wheel sits further in, so you`d need a wheel spacer to reduce the offset. vws tend to use 35-38 i believe. try to keep as close to this as you can
