It sounds like you have mk2 type bushes and are trying to fit them into a mk3 style subframe mate.
A:

well do corrado(91) have a mk 3 suframe then???

I "think" so, because you can use either a mk3 or a raddo subframe when installing a VR6 into a mk2. But not a mk2 subframe.
Mk3 has the horseshoe bit, but mk2 doesn't. mk2 also has an annoying shim thingy you have to fiddle about with when refitting wishbones where as the mk3 doesn't.
A:

sound, ill get me mate t buy a mk3 wishbone kit and do a swapsies

Holy wack ill fitting wishbones batman, what a great idea!

rang venom up and they said the bushes should fit, still not convinced tho!!!!

It sounds like you have mk2 type bushes and are trying to fit them into a mk3 style subframe mate. I think you'll find the wishbone bushes are the same on mk2 and mk3 cars - the only difference is the shim you hammer in to locate the rear one on a MK2 isn't needed on the MK3/later raddo's but would be on a 91 raddo (according to ETKA). But the bushes themselves are identical.

wkd mr b, been trying to sort this out for some time

Now look on ETKA and see they are all the same part number - it's only the metal removable sleeve thats different
A:

I'll save you te effort - think this should prove my point
1995 VR6 AAA - bush highlighted, see corresponding part number - then followed by a 1990 mk2 Golf. Fact, they are the same bushes, the mk2 just needs the extra sleeve (part 8) to allocate it, where as the mk3 subframe has the slot welded in (what I think vduben refers to as the "horseshoe").

Oh, and if you look carefully, you'll see the front ones are identical too, parts 3a and 5 respectively
A:

Hmm, deffo something fishy going here.
So it only seems to be some aftermarket polly bushes that differ then? I wonder how/why that is then
