A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hey Guys
Getting new pads and discs for my mk1 over the winter.
I was toying with either going for the Mintex Xtreme or Ferodo DS2500.
Car is used mainly on track and the hillclimb, little road use.
I see bandger 5 used ATE discs, aonyone care to suggest a decent set of dics??
Cheers
Charlie

I always found plain VW 280's best.
A:
You'll be fine with the DS 2500s
Discs-wise, if they're grooved it can help avert pad glaze up, though I've used plain also: certainly you could take a pick from Black Diamond, ATE. Main thing is to give them a cool down cycle to guard against warpage.

And what Brake fluid is Reccomended
Gary mentioned motul , but i cant remember what type?
A:
I'd recommend DOT 5 from Halfords. If you find that isn't good enough, then by all means scale up.
There is a heck of a lot of cash wasted in this area - and non-doorhandle-to-doorhandle track use means there's no need for it in a lot of cases.
A:
Motul RBF600 - it's less than £10 a bottle, used it now for 2 years or more, can't fault it.
Brembo G60 discs (GSF) and Pagid RS19 race pads (£lots) brakes were consistent all day Sunday, very impressed.
