Ive had a high pitched squeeking noise coming from my passenger front wheel area for as long as i can remember. Its not alwyas there, gets worse when im turning right and the weight is on that side.
I thought it was a wheel bearing but its really high pitched like a mouse lol, and hasn't ever got any worse. When i had my 16"s on it for a few months the noise disappeared completely. Now ive got my 15"s back on the noise is back, but isnt any louder and isnt always there
Does anyone know what it could be?

whats the spec of your 15s and 16s ie et tyre size etc, could be tyre rub on some thing or do you have inserts for the alloys to fit spigot rings? is it gereral/under braking or just conering?

Its definetly not tyre rub ive got BBS RM's with the standard width 6.5 i think. The car has been lowered 40mm on Koni shocks and springs. It only does it when cornering and the weight is shifted onto that side of the car.
Its strange its stopped doing it again now but i know it'll come back at some point it always does!
The 16"s were 16x7 ET 38 with 195/45 tyres, and they used spigot rings. When the 16"s were fitted i never got the noise.
When it comes back i'll try and record the sound on my phone and put a link to it on here.
Its fairly loud and is a constant high pitched tone when cornering, even the slightest turn of the wheel.

Was behind you the other day by the robin hood roundabout and flashed you!
I had that noise in my mk2, it was due to a loose spigot ring being really dry (metal type) so i put some vasaline around it and it sorted it out!

Were you!? What time was that? I would probably have been on my way to work.
I only get the noise when im using my BBS wheels which dont have spigot rings, but thanks for the info anyway

Checking the wheel bearing for play and the cv joint would be my first port of call after checking the wheels are all on ok etc.
