My just out of guarantee starter motor has given up the ghost and my spare in the garage is duff.
i'm now reluctant to get a new reconditioned one again as it didn't give me a great deal of service so wondered if there is a starter motor on a newer vw/audi/seat that could be utilised and i can go to a breakers for it.
also wondered how i can identify a 90amp alternator as well as i may as well get both parts and blag a good deal. any info gratefully received because i'm driving my dads rice burner at the min and its so soul less i could cry (lot comfier than the coilovered golf tho)

the 90A alterantors have 90amp on the sticker....

cheers mate, most i have seen must be rubber ducked, corroded bodies without a sticker
