A&Q about 350Z

Em's mum's mk3 gl developed a nasty prob last night, the lights stopped working. Well, it has sidelights, and the main beam will come on if you hold the stalk on. thats it! cant be the bulbs as the flash works, and it isn't fuses as I've checked the board and the wiring.
Could it be the relay? ALthough I would've thought that would fry the whole lot including the flash.
Any Ideas? It's kinda important to have lights at this time of year!!!!

Do the dashboard lights come on with the switch?
If its got the rotary knob type there known for failing as well.

it is the rotary nob, and yeah I think the lights come on the dash, but they'd do that with just the sidelights which work. Sounds like i'll be off to gsf on sat for a new switch then!!!
