A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Posted up a little while about this but still not having any luck so thought I would get some more opinions....
Problem:
As you look at the back of the car the right hand side (drivers side) tail light does not work. Odd thing is that ALL the other lights work including brake lights, indicators, fogs etc.
I have sourced the problem down to the fuse which was blown. The new fuse blows as soon as the lights are turned on.
I have pulled the side walls down on the boot to check for any bad connections/wiring/earths but I am not really sure where the earth point is located. I think its at the side but after unscrewing cables, and scratching away some more paint to make sure good contact is made still having same problem.
So.....
Can anbody confirm exactly where the earthing point would be?
Does anybody have any idea if the tail light runs on a seperate earth to the other lights on the same side?
Any help appreciated as its dark whenever I drive the car in the week.

have you tried using a differant bulb holder ?
A:
No not yet, I presumed the holder would be ok as other lights were working, but thinking about it now that seems like a good suggestion.

I agree.

If no luck u could always jump it off the working tail light
u cant beat a good bodge!

sounds like you have a bare wire in the rear light loom somewhere!

I'll take some pictures at some point of everything I have checked thus far.
I do have 2 bare wires although they have always been bare wires and I believe they are for the stereo speakers, none of which were working when I got the car as I had to rewire everything meself.
