need some help please, just started this evening got a mk3 gti 16v (1997 P) driving home from girlfriends looked at gauge it was rock bottom thought strange coz knew I didnt have a lot in there but I knew enough to get home so got some fuel in petrol station, started up and no go just stays at the bottom, any ideals much appreciated ?

Put a small amount of fuel into the tank and you will notice the needle go up again. Sometimes, the float in the tank gets stuck.

mate i put 30 quids worth in last night when I noticed it at the bottom and no show so that should of been more than a bit put in the tank

hello any more help on this one please I heard something about possible problem with the fuel sender, where would this be located and what do I do once I find it ?
