when i purchased my mk2 it had an aftermarket steering wheel on it, it has a center push horn, but i assume the previous owner had not wired it up as it does not work, is this much of a hard job or its it relativly simple, if the horn is fuc*ed then how nard is it to wire up anouther horn? even if its just for the MOT

Wiring up the horn is a simple job, only needs two cables going by memory. Should be one attached to the wheel boss and one (the earth I think) attached to the contact on the push and the metal ring beween the wheel and boss.
As for the horn, not done it before but its worth noting the 16v is a dual tone jobby meaning more than one unit I think.

i was going to take the steering wheel of the other night but theough id better finish of what im doing first, i have the interior out atm, doing a little re-wireing lol
