A&Q about 350Z
Q:
seen some of these on ebay advertised to fit mk2 golf.
anyone got any experience of them, are they easy to fit?
A:
Yep, you might even have the loom already there. Otherwise they just come on with the rear screen demister, I think. All my GTi's have had them as far as I remember so don't pay much, a trip to the scrappies will sort you out for cheap. BTW don't expect "hot" water from them - they just defrost the jets themselves. Unlike my old scabby beemer, it used to squirt out water hot enought that I would worry it might crack the screen on a sub-zero morning!
A:
how did the scabby old beamer heat the water???
A:
On a slightly related note (although not worthy of it's own topic), none of my heated rear window, heated washer jets or heated mirrirs work on my mk2, yet the fuse that does all 3 (all 3 controlled by the heated rear window switch) is fine and the light comes on on the switch when it is put into the on position?

Parz employs a man to top up his washer bottle from a kettle every 15 mins in cold weather.
That may not be a true answer.
A:
The heated washer jets come on with the ignition, but generally don't work anymore
MK3 and Passats have the same jets, which are more likely to be working if you find em in a scrappy.
A:
Are they any good? I got a set lying around somewhere which I have been meaning to fit. I think the connectors for the heaters behind the coolant tank, is this correct?
A:
Easy to check if they're working or not by measuring resistance...
If not tho I would just replace with new non-heated Jets and new hose, this makes a bigger difference and as long as the screenwash is kept at the right mix it never frezes up.
A:
if the car never had heated jets the plug wont be there, it runs to the fusebox. Its only ignition live tho so easy to wire em
