will erasing an airbag fault code, with a fault code reader, reset the airbag controller and turn off the airbag light on the dash ?

Not sure about your initial question buddy,
Although i've been told by a mechanic that you need to disconect the battery for at least an hour or so to reset the warning lights!!
Best to get someone that knows how to deal with airbags tho i think?!!

yeah dont mess with airbags and if you do make sure the battery is disconected or you might find it going off in your face!!

i'm a midlands based auto electrictian ...... airbag controllers are a pain in the ass , they put the light on due to lose conections on under the seat and to things like low battery voltage
oh and taking the battery off will do nothing - - its stored in memory
best way is a plug in diagnostic to pin-point error and clear
