A&Q about 350Z
Q:
Hey All
About 3 weeks ago cld not get my 8 valve 88GTI to start. After alot of messing around asking questions etc etc I was advised to change the ignition switch, the car was not giving 12V to the coil on crank over, I have done this . Thread search proved invaluable on this one, removing universal joint at the bottom of the coumn etc etc. Well have got the new switch in, now I have the strangest problem when there is no key in the ignition there is 12V going to the coil, when you turn the ignition to the on position there is 0V to the coil and then on crank over there is 0V to the coil ahhhhhhhh.
Anyone think of anything I may have missed, therer are 4 lines to the igniton switch plug, does anyone have info ref there function and where they route to
All help most appreciated

Hmm, did you get the right ignition switch? The pre/post 90 ones are different but I didn't think it was possble to swap them!

Hey
I took the original part into VW, do u know if they are visualy the same and internaly different
Thanks
A:
Well both the switch & plug are different, so I'd expect it to be visually different

Hmm
So I presume I got the right part, strange thing is if u remove the plug from the switch completely you still get 12V to the coil. Its like its all reversed, any thoughts ?
