Q:
My girlfreind has mk4 1.6l 16 valve golf, once the engine is warm the rev counter will start to bounce between 600 and 850 rpm and engine tone along with it a couple of times it has dropped so low its cut out.
A freind of mine has plugged a diagnostics machine in and came up with these codes
17961
17559
17566
The last one is the one that he thinks is the problem with the car, Intake manifold pressure sensor.
He cleared the codes and i took the car back a few days later to find the machine came up with no codes at all, even though the car was still idleing like a yo-yo.
Anybody have any experience or advice on this.

try cleaning the throttle body

as above, oh and make sure you take it of to clean
