chap at work has a mk4 tdi golf. he has a lead which has obd written on it but he dosnt know where to plug it in. anyone help? too new for me to be intrested.

The socket is at the bottom of the dash, below the heater controls, just above the sliding ash tray cover. You need to pull the black piece of trim out of the way!
