well done after searching again i found this
this is how you do it.
buy a 4 motion, or 4 motion shell. take your pick of 5 or 5 door. R32 shell is the same.
get a tdi gearbox, and TT running gear and fuel tank
put the TT bellhousing and diff on the TDI box, to give you a 4wd TDI box. bolt everything up.
makes sense to use a PD150 lump really, ship it to 220bhp and 320lbs.ft
wiring will be fun, you'll need a 4 motion loom.

There is a 750hp twin turbo'ed .:R32 floating about, not sure what gearbox it's running tho.
