Raceland 4 branch for 8v.

A&Q about 350Z
Q:

I have been doing some research on the forum and the 16v are not very good as far as i can tell. problems with LHD parts .
What are the 8v ones like?
A:

any one????
A:

Are the 8v Mk2 manifolds available from Miltek ? Or i think Ashley still do one, may need a little "tweeking" to fit.
A:

yes but a milltek costs a small fortune nearly twice the price, i dont mind spending the money if its twice as good
A:

Ashley do one aswell for the 8v, I'm considering ordering one from Rally Designs. Should mate up to my Ashley system ok I should think.
iirc it's only £100 or so.

i have a raceland 8v four branch on my mk2 its been on for about 5000miles and is fine it touched the pas pipes at first so just bent them slightly. i haven't had chance to fit a uprated front mount but its been alright. its great for the price. the 16v ones are completey useless i tried one it hit where the steering colunm goes into the rack and had no chance of it fitting
A:

Power wise, the Ashley one will do a good job, though they can sometimes need a little "persuasion" to fit. Try Ashley direct or these people... ... they used to stock a lot of Ashley. "Never" had good results from Rallye design (though I know some have).

Or here...

i`ve got an ashley on mine, it fitted ok, but the quality of manufacturing is pretty poor, very bad flow characteristics as the gases leave the head and enter the manifold, i had to get my welder in there to smooth out the step, then i had to gring it all to make it proper. i wouldn`t buy another one, as far as i`m concerned you get what you pay for, and for £220 that wasn`t a lot, which is probably why the best ones are about £300. seriously, don`t buy an ashley...
A:

hi im a mate of the lad who sells raceland stuff. youre right about the problem with 16v manifolds its really f***ked him up. the 8v ones are fine and we only hear positive things about these.
cheap too. he has for sale on e-bay from time to time if you want one.

That's very true, had to do similar to mine with a die-grinder, but it did'nt cost me a hundred quid's worth of time. Performance is good for the money though.
A:

yeah powerwise you can feel the difference, thers a blatant surge at 4500 in mine, its just the quality that bothered me. i know the 16v mk1 manifolds they make give better power than the supersprint manifold, but the supersprint is better quality.
