A&Q about 350Z
Q:
basically question is,, are they any good,
Theres kits which have a plate on your block enabling you to relocate your oil filter with the oil cooler, is this dodgy in any way am i better off looking at the mocal ones for example which keep the existing oil housing location
cheers

Remote filter kits are usually only needed where there's a space or access issue - engine transplants, road engines in single seaters etc. There's no reason not to use one as long as the thermostat is upstream of the filter! But a kit that goes between the filter and it's mounting will be much simpler to fit.

I agree with Barkstar, there's no reason not move the filter but it will make the pipework that much more complicated/expensive.
Also bear in mind that if you are trying to do a full/proper oil change you'll have to try and drain all the oil that's in the related pipework.
