Hi,
Due to my Ebay addiction I am not the proud owner of a full set of Samco hoses (10)! The only issue I have is that I went to a parts place today to get a waterpump and thermostat and the guy pointed out that a few of the pipes are either not needed or are wrong!
Mine are the same as the pics on awesome and big boys etc, but a couple are nowhere to be seen on the car!
The top hose is clearly wrong as is the small 'y' shaped one and the 'u' shaped one are apparently for a different oil cooler? Mine has 2 long hoses that dont even attach with jubilees so I have no idea what thats all about!
Anyone got a set fitted to their car with pics? He also mentioned a couple might need cutting down to fit!
Glad I didnt pay full whack at a shop or I would be livid!!!
Please help my old girl needs her pipes as she is elderly and has leaky plumbing!

I have a full set of samco hoses on my mk1 1600. most of mine fitted spot on except the one that goes from the water pump to the bottom of the cylinder head outlet.

there are like 5 for the mk1, i also got the Y pipe and never found a use for it.

maybe he got the auxilliary set too, i did and there was about 10 pipes in total. ive not used that y pipe either.

I got the ancillary kit as well that is another 5 hoses.
On my 1984 Cabriolet the top rad hose is pretty straight with a small kink in it. Got the right one from the shop. It goes in a different postion to yours jon p. Further to the left on the block.
I am going to go and get the work done soon at a local garage and will put some pics up if anyone is interested.
Looks like there will be a few hoses for sale soon....

too slow on my reply there, was trying to find a picture.
There is a guy sellign a black set on ebay at the moment and it looks like some of his have been cut down. Did you guys need to alter yours at all?

i had to cut down the one that goes from the water pump to the bottom of the cyl head outlet and the two long thin ones are for the heater matrix, you need to just cut these to length, i think the rest of mine fitted no problem.

Mine fitted straight on but didn't need the Y shaped one.
