Still no joy?! I'll pull the box out tonight. I've got an 8v PB head on the living room table so I'll check they fit and give you the part number. Will set myself a reminder on my phone this time!!

Hold that thought!! I’ve only gone and done one better than that for you.
Just rang NGK tech’ department for you. The stock NGK plug is a triple prong part number BPR6ET. The Iridium single prong equivalent is BPR6EIX and the iridium single prong equivalent which is a heat range colder you want is part number BPR7EIX stock number 4055. Some places use part numbers some use stock numbers.
To be clear then. To run nitrous I recommend an iridium plug. And as a guide go one heat range COLDER for every 50bhp of gas. So for you running 50bhp on your mk2 8v Gti head you need the NGK iridium plug.

Go to any NGK stockist and given them that. They probably won’t have them in stock but doesn’t take long to get them. (Few days tops) And don’t forget check your leads are in reasonable nick and replace your rotor arm and distributor cap.
