That's what I was about to say! All the previous posts on the subject indicate that its the same height, as the KR. The ABF is taller, because it was engineered for the Golf Mk3, and one of the things changed was the rod ratio (piston rods made longer, to make the engine smoother). This fact means that it can be 'stroked' more than a 9A, I think???

Anyway, after weighing things up, I've gone and ordered the Ashley system from Rally Design. It would have been lovely to purchase the Supersprint but it was just too pricey. And the Storm is only the manifold and I'd have needed to cobble together a connection to someone else's aftermarket exhaust, so it might not have worked out such a good solution. Also I searched for a UK supplier and didn't find one; and the US supplier never answered my email!
Note, the above only applies for Mk1 because we're restricted to a choice of 3 manifolds, and must change from the original due to clearance issues.
