Hello, have just got me a scirocco storm with the dx engine and i've just been given an F reg audi 80 with a 2l in. (having a good week so far)
Is it possible to swap the 2l into the scirocco whole or does it need to be broken down? I've heard the bottom end of the 2L will go in to the top of the 1.8. I'm just wondering if anyone could point me to a how to, or a list of parts to swap in and out.

It is an easy swap,just put the 2l bottom end in using all the same mounts and use the kjet dx head, the only extra thing you need is an adaptor ring so you can use the dizzy from the dx lump in the audi lump as the dx dizzy has a smaller body,I got the ring from tsr before they folded.

I think you need to swap the sump over too, with an audi block. Easy enough though. Worth having the 1.8 head reworked too, if you've got the cash.

yea you need to swap the sump and oil pick up. simple 1 for 1 job though.

what about the oil filter/cooler housing,
on my 16v i had to change that. i think it could be the same.. you will see what i mean when you take a look

It is the ring underneeth the clamp because the dx dizzy shaft is smaller than the 2l dizzy shaft hole.

Just realised through not checking its a J reg not F reg audi, make any difference, i assume its still the same bottom end yes?
