If it the same as KR engine ecu then nothing.
It is a blanking screw.

Nope, this is definitely a knob that is used for adjusting something.......
By the way this was off an 8v

It's an air vent, not a knob. You can pop it off and you'll see a filter behind it. I don't think the fitment of a performance air filter instead would show any power gains, though.

LOL!!! OK cool.....I didn't want to turn it in case i messed up the adjustment of it in some way, but after TSC's reply I thought I would try it - it spins continuously so it must be some sort of blanking/vent thingy.....

You can just pop it off, with a screwdriver - it pops back on.

have you tried turning it up to 11?

I could be wrong but as I remember this is the ambient air pressure intake for the internal map sensor.
