Possibly not, working on the theory that the mk3 engine is taller by around 16mm. If you fit a mk3 engine to a mk2 and use a mk2 tubular manifold it can be tight against the bulkhead, so there's the chance that a mk3 one on a mk2 engine in a mk2 might foul the steering rack.

then engine in my car is a mk3 tall block any way so it shouldnt be a problem

It will bolt up fine, but as said it may not fit perfectly due to the difference in block heights. You'll probably be able to make it work one way or the other though I bet, and even if it don't you'll get your money back selling to a MK3 owner no worries
