Alrite guys & gals!
question for you, i own a mk2 8v which is on digi, no matter how little i press my accelerator pedal down it will go to about 1700rpm, if i let off even a mil it will idle, any ideas as to why it does it? also, if i stab at my accelerator pedal fairly quick it feels like its going to stall, any ideas? not a huge problem i know, was just wondering thats all!!!
many thanks guys.

Its something they all seem to do, including mine mate. Nothing to worry about. Sometimes a stretched throttle cable can exagerate the symptoms.

could help if u clean isv....i use to have an 8v digi that did this an i swapped isv cos i had one kicking around and seemed to make it a bit better

ahh thanks for the quick replies guys! you wouldnt happen to know how to make my accelerator pedal and clutch pedal not as stiff as they are? my left leg is twice the size of my right leg now

New cable for the accellerator, if its stiff then the inner cable has frayed. Mine had almost snaped! Same with the clutch cable really, but you can try spraying some WD40 downthe end which may help. They all seem to have stiff clutches, normally the only solution is to replace the clutch!
