Been toying with the idea of sticking a pair of these in my mk3. The car at the moment is completely standard. Will installing these raise any reliability issues etc?? I know it will make the idle quite lumpy which doesnt really concern me. Is this a reasonable performance upgrade for the money?? Im talking £600 just for the cams. What gains can i expect??

good cams but doubt the standard digi injection would cope with them,i think a pair of 260's or 268's would be more suited for standard,and you might want to consider having the head ported to help it breathe better.

What do i need to change in order for them to work properly? I can port and polish the head while its off for the new cams. Do i need to uprate the digi injection system altogether? Is putting schrick 276's in the car an unrealistic idea to begin with?? I dont want to spend a fortune on engine mods just to get the cams to work right.
Ive done a scout around the forums, but cant find anyone with a mk3 running schrick 276's. Any help would be greatly apreciated, cheers!

Okay, so anything with a higher lift and ive got no chance??? There must be some way of keeping emissions in check for an MOT.
What kind of bhp increase can i expect to achieve from a 268 cam?

lift isn't the issue, duration is the issue and pressure pulsing in the inlet manifold confusing the maf sensor that is involved in fuelling a digifant engine
if you run an alternative engine management system, one without maf control, it would be fine.

they are defo pushing the limits,a guy i know is running them in his ibiza and it just passed the emissions on his last test.hes also got very lumpy tickover.
im running a pair of shrick 260's in my abf and to be honest you'd swear it wasnt cammed untill you hit 4000 rpm,the idle is spot on, not sure what its like emissions wise.
